While the performance of coherent detection of
QPSK-modulated pulse shaped OFDM in Rayleigh fading channel is
analyzed, its performance in Rician and Nakagami
fading Channel is investigated by a different method in this
paper with the modulation of OFDM extended to MQAM. Based on
small channel disturbance assumption, very simple bit error rate
(BER) formula are derived which match our simulation results very
well. As can be seen, the criterion proposed for optimal design
of QPSK OFDM in Rayleigh frequency-selective fading channel
also holds for MQAM pulse shaped OFDM in Rayleigh,
Rician and Nakagami fading channel.
