Is there a way to generate a real random number on FPGA? I know we can use level shifter feedback circuit to generate pseudo-random (PN) number. But I would like to know if possible to use digital circuit to generate real random number.

Yes it is possible to generate true random number on FPGA. The most documented and researched way is to employ the metastability of digital circuit. You can google this topic. Here is some reference.
