Anyone knows where I can find C code which can be used to process audio on embedded processor? Both encoding and decoding.
BTW, I found below file which was generated from musicdsp.org. Is the site and code still valid?
In software, audio and sound is encoded as pcm (pulse code modulation). A .wav is straight pcm data with header attached. mp3 takes a step further to have pcm data encoded and compressed.
If you use linux, you can use libsndfile, xiph.org, libao, etc. library to process audio and they are built in. Hope your embedded processor has linux run on it.
